Hovland, Minnesota is about 128 miles from Duluth and 18 miles from Grand Marais, Minnesota. Duluth is about 160 miles north of the MPLS / St. Paul area on Interstate 35. I35 will turn into HWY 61 on the northeast end of Duluth. Find lodging for your stay on the North Shore Visitor Guide.

From Duluth, Minnesota take HWY 61, 110 miles northeast along Lake Superior to Grand Marais, Minnesota.

After you leave downtown Grand Marais you'll see a sign that says; "Hovland 18 miles"  you will not be going all the way to downtown Hovland. About 15 miles from Grand Marais, just after the Brule River / Judge Magney State Park you will be making a left turn onto County Road 69 / North Road [gravel roads all the way from 61 to Wilderness Run]. Travel on CR 69 about 3 miles to the intersection of CR 70, turn left on CR 70 this is the same as the Camp 20 Road, go about 1 mile to the "T" intersection of CR 70 and the Flute Reed Road, you'll see the Wilderness Run for sale signs. Wilderness Run will have it's own private entrance which will be started in September 2007.

It is required that you have our agent with you if you plan to walk the development area.  Please do not trespass. For safety reasons do not drive up here and walk around on your own, it will not be appreciated. Heavy equipment is being operated and markings for each parcel, road, septic sites, etc. will all blend together. All showings require our agent to accompany you. You'll also get way more out of the visit with one of us showing you where each parcel is and any possible changes for the road and property lines.
